Intravenous (IV) therapy is a safe and effective method of delivering therapeutic doses of vitamins and minerals directly to into the circulatory system

Based on the individual needs of her patients, Dr. Bean formulates a variation of the Myers cocktail with a combination of vitamins and minerals with a range of B vitamins such as Methylfolate, Methylcobalamin or Hydroxycobalmin, B6, B5, B3, along with magnesium, calcium, minerals and specific amino acids

The main advantage of IV therapy is that it bypasses the absorption required in the digestive tract. Through the use of IV therapy the nutrients are taken up or rather absorbed much more quickly than if it had been taken oral.

See the IV page to learn more about what Dr. Bean offers by of nutritional IV therapy.

Neural therapy is an excellent treatment for chronic pain and illness by activating healing in the nervous system.

Treatment involves injections of a local anesthetic into trigger points, scars, glands, peripheral nerves and other tissues. The process of healing is by normalizing the illness-related dysfunction of the nervous system.

Neural Prolotherapy an effective treatment for most injuries and chronic  pain. The treatment involves injections just under the skin with sugar and water (dextrose or mannitol) while using a very small needle.

The hypothesized mechanism of NPT is believed that dextrose and mannitol solutions assist in the repair of connective tissue in the nerve trunks under the skin in a similar way as repairing connective tissue in ligaments and tendons with Classical Prolotherapy. These nerves are known to be responsible for painful conditions generally identified as ‘neuralgias’ or ‘peripheral neuropathic pain’.

There are a variety of conditions NPT is valuable for. One of them is treating the achilles tendon along with tennis elbow, painful knees, shoulders, neck, hips, ankles and low back. Results are consistent and two year follow up studies have shown success rates between 80-100%, while NPT is less invasive than Classical Prolotherapy.

Herbs have been used for therapeutic purposes in many cultures for hundreds of years. Dr. Bean has extensive training in how to use herbal medicines to help prevent and treat diseases. It is important to note that herbs can have side effects and can interact with pharmaceutical medicine with negative outcomes. Dr. Bean is trained to be aware of these interactions; therefore, prescribes botanical medicine that are personalized to your specific needs.

Dr. Bean uses botanical medicine in many forms – such as supplements, teas, oils, salves (beeswax based), and tinctures (liquid extracts of herbs) for areas such as fatigue, sleeping issues, memory, common childhood complaints, digestion and boosting the immune system.

Acupuncture was originally introduced here in the West as a form of anesthesia and pain control. But as it was examined more closely, it has a much broader use in treating and supporting conditions such as sleep disorders,  fatigue, blood sugar regulation, libido, anxiety, to depression.

Dr. Bean utilizes acupuncture in her office primarily for Labour Induction, fertility and menstrual regularity.

Homeopathy is a 200 year old medicine that aims to bring change by working with the body’s own healing power to achieve healing. The underlying concept is ‘like cures like’ and is based on the ‘principles of similars’. This principle recognizes that substances known to cause particular symptoms, in low doses, can also help cure the disease. In traditional medicine we use vaccines to help prevent contracting this disease – ‘like cures like.’ Homeopathy is utilized to do the same.

Homeopathic remedies are dilute preparations of natural substances. Remedies can effectively be used for both acute or chronic disease.
This is one of Dr. Bean’s favorite modalities to use as it is safe and effective when used along side pharmaceutical drugs as well as an alternative therapy for young children.
Dr. Bean works with a variety of supplements to support and help her patients heal.

In her search for supplements, Dr. Bean strives to only provide the best, most bioavailable forms of supplements. This ensures her patients are receiving the cleanest and purest forms of supplements the market has to offer.
